Servant Leadership

Jesus was the greatest example of Christian Leadership that we will ever have. When we examine his leadership, we find that he spent most of his time serving others. On one of the last days of his public ministry, while he taught those who were closest to him, Jesus demonstrated the need for true leaders to be servants.  It is at this time that we find the greatest teaching illistration ever used.

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come forth from God and was going back to God, got up from supper, and laid aside his garments; and taking a towel, he girded himself. Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. (John 13:3-5)

We, the leadership of Lansdowne Alliance Church, strive to serve in a manner similar to the way Christ served. Rather than bark orders and make others feel badly about themselves, our desire is to serve others by guiding them into a life that is honoring to God.
